Will MP Komati Reddy change his loyalty?
After losing the chance for TPCC top post disgruntled Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, MP from Bhongir Lok Sabha creating shocks in Congress by series of meetings with Central Ministers. Already his wishes to YSRTP and a brief chit chat with its cadre saying that he had an invitation to attend the launching ceremony of YSRTP, raises many doubts about what would be the Komatireddy’s next political step.
In the meanwhile, Mr. Komatireddy is meeting BJP leaders in Delhi including Health Minister Mandaviya and Minister of Tourism and culture G.Kishan Reddy of Telangana. Though it is said to be a formal meeting with central ministers to request development projects, the inner agenda may be different, political observers felt.
On meeting with Union cabinet Minister Kishan Reddy, Komatareddy Venkat Reddy clarified that there is no political agenda behind their meeting and it is clearly a courtesy call to wish him and seek his support by releasing funds to develop historic Bhongir fort and other historic structures in the state. It is widely reported that Minister Kishan Reddy responded positively to his request and assured him of releasing funds as soon as possible. He also met Minister for health and family welfare Mandaviya.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is one among senior leaders in congress and aspired TPCC Chief post and missed. On this he deeply disappointed and criticized vigorously, the new TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy and the In-charge of Telangana Congress affairs Mr. Manikkam tagore. But the other day he termed the post as small position. These remarks are also raising doubts in political circles that Venkat Reddy may shift his loyalty to another Party either to BJP or YSRTP ahead of Huzurabad byelection to show his strength at what extent he can change things.
