US tech companies urge Congress for citizenship to 'Dreamers'
Some U.S. tech companies Urged the US congress in a letter to give citizenship for 'Dreamers' which has become a big debatable issue in America.
'Immigrants who are being called Dreamers are working in our companies and their services are useful for strengthening the country's economic system, so create a pathway to citizenship for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals ) recipients known as 'Dreamers' through Law', they urged in their letter.
Among the CEOs who wrote the letter are Apple CEO Tim cook, Google CEO Sundar Pichhai. Meanwhile, President Biden, who was vice president when Obama created the programme, has said he wants to create a permanent pathway to citizenship for DACA recipients.
Recently the U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen temporarily stayed their cases and their renewal applications, when the companies sued the matter in the court of law. With the ruling the court, he CEOs wrote this letter.
