US never forget India’s help, Antony Blinken announces $25 millions for vaccination drive
The United States announced its help and support to India in vaccination drive. Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State announced that America will help 25 million dollars to India in the vaccination drive. He hoped that this amount would be helpful in the supply of vaccines and help to procure more vaccines. America has so far extended help to a tune of more than $ 200 millions for curbing Coronavirus, he said. Blinken also said that America will never forget the help that India extended in the early days of Coronavirus.
Meanwhile, In the wake of a call given by the World Health Organisation (WHO) last month to all countries to work together to investigate the origins of the Coronavirus, US Secretary of state Antony Blinken met WHO’s Chief Tedros Adhanam in Kuwait, even the meeting was not scheduled one in his tour. Blinken assured his support to the World Health Organisation in investigation in China in this regard.
The U.S. supports the @WHO plans for additional studies into COVID-19 origins, including in (the People’s Republic of China), to better understand this pandemic and prevent future ones, Blinken tweeted after arriving in the Gulf Arab state.
‘Blinken stressed the need for the next phase (of the investigation) to be timely, evidence-based, transparent, expert-led, and free from interference’, the US State Department spokesperson Ned Price said in a statement. Also he emphasised the importance of the international community coming together on this matter, it stated.
