Vizianagaram born Radhika Mangipudi, well-known telugu writer, International co-ordinator & MC(anchor) from Singapore, has been Selected for the ‘NRI Telugu Award’ on the occasion of ‘Telugu Language Day -2021’. As part of this 2-day global celebrations on a virtual platform, jointly organized by ‘South African Telugu Community’ and ‘Veedhi Arugu’, Norway, in association with 75 Telugu communities from all over the world, these awards will be given on 28th, 29th of August 2021.
“After receiving many nominations from all over the world, our jury had selected 12 people from different countries, who have been actively promoting and advocating Telugu Language, literature and culture.” said the organizers.
Radhika Mangipudi was chosen for her excellent services as a resident of Singapore till 2020, in the field of Telugu Literature. She has published 2 books of Telugu Poetry & Telugu short-stories, so far and has been recognised as the first telugu short story writer from Singapore by ‘Telugu Book of Records’. She has also written numerous articles through her Facebook group ‘The Golden Heritage of Vizianagaram’, focusing on the promotion of Telugu literature and culture. She has also been actively involved in the cultural & literary events of “Sri Samskruthika Kalasaradhi” Singapore, as an executive member and coordinater of the organization. The spiritual and literary events hosted by her in Singapore have received appraisal from the national and international community. She has presented many papers in various universities across India, and has organized over 45 events as an MC, as of date.
“I feel very happy and blessed to be awarded this prestigious award, particularly to be receiving it on the birth anniversary of Sri Gidugu from coastal Andhra, from where I too began my literary journey” said Mrs Radhika . She also thanked the organizers of the event and all the people from Singapore and Vizianagaram who has been supporting her always.
She will be honoured with this “NRI Telugu Award” along with the 11 selected participants from other countries, on 28th August.
