The story of Indian air force pilots risking lives for not only protecting the people but also rescuing the ones stranded during Kargil times deserves praise by itself. In terms of acting, Pankaj Tripathi nails it as her dad and shows his gamut in acting even in a family role; rest of the cast supports well. In terms of songs, 'Bharat ki Beti' echoes patriotism.
The way facts were twined and yet it's being called as 'the true story of GS' doesn't do justice. After almost 100 minutes of build up showing the hardships she (actually dint) faced, the end 5 minutes of bravado do not make up for the lost frames. To add to it, the cinematography too isn't interesting. Rest of the songs fail to connect as much. In terms of acting, the lead Janhvi Kapoor disappoints in all frames that needed a mature actor and is a clear misfit for the role.
Overall, with an inspirational subject and not so fitting execution, this one's end up being an average fare at best
