In this backdrop, the Indian Embassy asked its nationals living, visiting  and working in Afghanistan to exercise utmost vigilance at all times.  To this extent the Embassy issued an advisory for its nationals, where it also asked them to avoid non-essential travel as the security situation remains dangerous.

The advisory reads.. 'Terror groups in Afghanistan have escalated violent activities including targeting civilians. Indian nationals aren't exceptions. They additionally face serious threat of kidnapping',  'while travelling maintain distance from possible targets like military convoys, and targeted attacks which include incidents of roadside IED blasts'. it said.
