Congress tightening the grip
Congress high command is on the way to emerge as a force by solving the problems mainly of the party's in-fighting in the states one by one. At last it could manage to tighten the grip over Punjab where there was a big tussle between CM Amarinder Singh and MLA Sidhu. High Command made Sidhu as party Chief in Punjab unit defying the opposition from CM Amarinder Singh and his camp.
In this episode high command took a tough stand towards seniors for their overriding the party signaling that it can not spare anybody with decisive actions, in the interest of the party. Finally Sidhu has taken over the reins of Punjab PCC. Chief Minister Amarinder also attended this ceremony dismissing the reports that he is against the decision of high command and Mr. Sidhu.
With this boost up result, high command focuses on Rajasthan where a long standing in- fighting between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and an young leader Sachin Pilot. High command sent two representatives Mr. K.C, Venu Gopal, In-charge of Organisational affairs and Ajay Maken, In-charge of state party affairs. They arrived and had a wide range deliberations with Chief Minister Gehlot and with Sachin pilot group.
It is learnt that Chief Minister Gehlot reportedly said that he leaves the decision to Ms. Sonia Gandhi and is ready to obey the decision of high command in the interest of the party. Mr. Venugopal is said to be specifically clarifying that Ms. Sonia's decision is final whatever it is. so on this development state cabinet reshuffle is likely to be within one or two days.
With the latest decision, some of the prominent leaders may lose their posts. It is heard that among losers are.. Mr. Govind singh Dotasra who is now in cabinet besides holding PCC Chief responsibilities. In ensuing reshuffle it is expected that some MLAs of Pilot group will get prominent berths either in Cabinet and different corporations posts. At present Mr. Sachin Pilot has 18 MLAs in his group.
