Changing political equations in UP
Ahead of Assembly elections next year in Uttar Pradesh, political equations are changing fast with the major political parties beginning strategies. So far, jumping from one party to another party has started. BJP chalked out a programme with social engineering to unite caste associations and small parties like Apna Dal, Nishad etc., as it followed in the last elections.
Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) of Mayavthi is facing trouble with the suspensions of 11 MLAs out of 19. It won the last election and 8 MLAs were already suspended at the time of Rajyasabha elections last year. Samajwadi Party ( SP) of Akhilesh is not yet focusing seriously but trying to unite seniors and discontent leaders behind the curtain. Congress Party as usual is suffering from lack of leadership to run the show in the state party and faced a jolt with Jithin Prasada joining BJP. “Issues like Love Jihad and Cow slaughter will not work out this time for BJP, only farmer's problems and development will be the main issues in ensuing elections in the state,” said RJD President Jayant Chowdhary.
