Anjaiah Chowdary sworn in as TANA President
The front runner to help the needy Mr. Anjaiah Chowdary Lavu has been sworn in as President of Telugu Association of North America-TANA on Monday for the period 2021-23. He always stood in the forefront to help the Telugu people in North America and took initiatives in starting various social service activities. He had also done many charity activities at his home town Pedda Avutapalli, Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh.
He studied in St.John’s High school in Gannavaram near Vijayawada, Intermediate in Gowtham School . He did his B.Tech in Bellary and M.Tech in Gulbarga. After completion of his Engineering education he went to America in 1998 for employment. He settled in Atlanta and has been living there for 21 years.
He was attracted by the services of TANA and joined them as service is his passion and guiding principle. Since he joined TANA he has been participating in several service activities especially to solve the problems of Telugu people living there and the parents of NRIs who face problems there. Moreover he rendered his helping hand to bring back the corpses to India who died in various accidents in America.
Mr. Anjaiah Chowdary has been working as Chairman of TANA team Square during 2011-2013 and thereafter he held many responsibilities . He also rendered his services as an Executive Vice-President of TANA during 2019-2021.
On assuming charge as TANA President, Mr. Anjaiah said that his jenda (flag) and agenda is TANA and his main goal is to take TANA activities to a new heights with the cooperation of his team members. So far whatever I achieved is with the cooperation of my colleagues in TANA, he said. Also added that much more areas are there to extend their services as human beings. He said that he believes in ‘Helping hands are greater than the lips that pray’ . He looks forward to going ahead with the service flag. .
